On behalf of the South Carolina Victim Assistance Network, thank you for agreeing to present at the 2020 Virtual Victims’ Rights Week Conference to be held July 6 - September 17, 2020. We appreciate you sharing your knowledge and passion for your subject with crime victims and those who serve them.

Best PowerPoint Fonts: San Serif, Calibri
Refrain from using the following in your presentation:
- Videos
- Animations
- Too many words
Infographics can be a great way to get your point across. They can also help people remember information more accurately.
Practice Sessions are available prior to your presentation. Email us and we will schedule a time that is convenient for you.
Email us your handouts in advance to include in the conference app.
Email us your poll questions at least 3 days prior to your presentation, for us to incorporate in Zoom.

During the Webinar:

You will have a moderator.
Dress for success! Yes, even when presenting in a virtual format.
Have adequate lighting in the room where you will be presenting in.
Don’t have distractions showing in your video feed (for example a ceiling fan that is turned on).
Engage with your audience about every 8-12 minutes (polls, Q&A, etc).
- Use your video to reduce the feeling of isolation. It’s good to let your audience see you every now and again.
If possible, have a backup internet option. It is also best to be near your internet source for optimal connection.
Please be prepared to use all of your designated time slots! This is very important due to VSP accreditation standards that must be met.
- Does it look like you will end too early? Prepare extra questions in advance for audience that you can utilize at the end
