Bob Hudson Legacy Scholarship
A Legacy Remembered…
Bob “Bobby Earl” Hudson, 90, passed away on October 26, 2023. Throughout his life, Bobby Earl developed a strong work ethic that carried him through every challenge. Bobby loved the Lord, his family and South Carolina. He was known for his generosity, kindness, and humor. He faithfully supported several Christian ministries and community organizations. Bob formed lasting connections with countless victim service providers, many of whom had the privilege of getting to know him. He was a constant and supportive presence to his beloved wife, Laura Hudson, attending numerous events and meetings she participated in. Bob was deeply loved by many and cherished by all who knew him. This scholarship will be awarded annually as a lasting tribute to the memory and legacy of Bob Hudson.
Bob Hudson Legacy Scholarship Application
Scholarship applicants must be a certified Victim Service Provider (VSP) through the SC Crime Victim Services Training, Provider Certification and Statistical Analysis, SC Attorney General’s Office and in good standing.
Full Scholarship: SCVAN will award scholarship(s) in the amount of 1 conference registration fee and up to 2 nights of hotel accommodation at the conference hotel.
Partial Scholarship: SCVAN will award scholarship(s) in the amount of 1 conference registration fee.
Please note:
The number of scholarships granted each year depends on the availability of funding.
Applicants are required to obtain a letter of support from an immediate supervisor that should be emailed to shannon@scvan.org no later than the application deadline.

Scholarship Recipients Notified via Email: Late January 2025
Scholarships awarded for the 2025 Annual Conference are awarded to an individual and, as such, are non-transferable. Scholarships are awarded only for the current year’s Annual Conference and cannot be deferred to any other SCVAN Annual Conference.
